News and Updates

Wow, well what a week/weekend. If you stayed in New York this weekend I hope you made it to Electric Zoo as it was pretty incredible this year and you probably saw me going insane (and sweating up a storm in those hot ass tents). Not going to go into full detail of sets as I was having too good of a time to remember a lot of them but I would have to say that the top DJ's from each day were as follows:

Friday: Carl Cox, Feed Me, Felguk, Tiga (Honorable Mention for Creepiest Set: SebastiAn)
Saturday: Sub Focus, Porter Robinson, Bloody Beetroots
Sunday: Boys Noize, Jack Beats, Michael Woods, Afrojack

All in all, it was an amazing festival that I highly recommend to anyone that was silly enough to miss it this year. After a festival like this however, the DJ's don't take a break so why should we all be able to? There have been some amazing concerts that have recently been announced around the New York area and I urge everyone to attend at least one of the following shows as they will ALL be incredible. Just take a look at the following concerts in the area that I myself am going to or am at the very least strongly considering going to:

Saturday, September 17th - Ghostland Observatory Tickets
Friday, September 23rd @ Webster Hall - Mord Fustang + Alex Metric Tickets
Friday, October 7th @ Roseland Ballroom - Deadmau5 *SOLD OUT*
Friday, October 14th @ Webster Hall - Wolfgang Gartner Tickets
Saturday, October 22nd @ Terminal 5 - HARD Haunted Mansion w/ Skream + Benga, Gesaffelstein, Dillon Francis, Joker, and Destructo Tickets
Saturday, October 29th @ Public Assembly - Miles Dyson + Proper Villains Tickets

These are a few of the shows that I think everyone should see coming up.  But not only are these great, there are other ones that are even better that don't quite have tickets available for them yet.  Check out the tweet below and tell me this won't be incredible:

That's right, Porter Robinson AND Madeon in New York at Webster Hall.  Two of the best young DJ's around and Madeon's first time (to my knowledge) in the States, this show will be glorious.  Oh and did I mention this is Halloween weekend?  Even better.  I'll be sure to post whenever the tickets become available as this show has only been announced on Twitter.  Make sure to always keep an eye on the right side of the page for more new concerts and look for Porter's new EP Spitfire to drop on September 13th.

UPDATE: Tickets are on sale HERE now for Porter and Madeon and going VERY FAST

More Mord

I swear every track Mord Fustang puts out there is simply incredible.  Released a new preview on his Soundcloud on Thursday for his remix of Finally which has some great vocals backed up by those classic Mord synths.  I apologize for my absence this weekend as it was an absurd Memorial Day weekend for me as you will see with my review of Dayglow both nights.  For now, get pumped with this gem of a song from Mord Fustang. By the way, is that a hint of dubstep I hear coming through in the end of the preview? I'm thrilled that he's experimenting with it.

Mord Fustang

If you haven't heard of Mord Fustang yet then you haven't truly lived. The man drops a bomb for every track. The synth sounds he uses are some of the best out there and most all of his tracks sound very uplifting. This morning he posted a sample of his newest remix which is fantastic. I've also posted some other samples of tracks that he has on his Soundcloud for your enjoyment, I encourage all of you to take a listen to all of these great electro house tracks.
