Van She's 'Idea of Happiness' Released in U.S.

Sydney-based Van She just released  their second full-length, ‘Idea of Happiness’  (well, just released in the United States, Australia got it last week).  This is a perfect album for relaxing through the second half of summer.   I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys Cut Copy, Hot Chip or Holy Ghost!.  You can stream it through RDIO here.

Highlight tracks include- Idea of Happiness, Jamaica, Radio Waves I, and Tears.

You can also watch the video for the title track ‘Idea of Happiness’ below.  This song is so catchy that I could definitely see it taking the same path of Gotye’s ‘Somebody That I Used to Know,’ by gaining massive amounts of popularity until it finally gets picked up by mainstream radio stations several months after it’s release, and then getting overplayed so often that I won't want to hear it again for years (but let's hope that doesn't happen).  I recommend the video to anyone who can find humor in mild male nudity.

Van She is currently touring Australia in support of the new album, but hopefully will see some U.S. dates announced for the Fall or Winter.
