Cruisechella?

Rumors have been flying about what the unexpected Coachella announcement is going to be today at 6 PST (9 EST). The L.A. Times has just reported that unnamed sources have told them that Goldenvoice is organizing a music festival on a cruise ship, similar to Hard's Holy Ship!! or Cloud 9's Jam Cruise.  Very few details have been reported, but apparently the ship could set sail as early as December.  Of course, if the cruise rumors are true, there is still no guarantee it is going to be today's announcement.  We should also keep in mind the rumors of the possible Goldenvoice festival in Orange County's Great Park.

If the news is true, what do you guys think of Goldenvoice diving into the nautical music festival scene?

Edit:  Yes, the rumors are true, and we already have a lineup!  Just like Land-Coachella, S.S. Coachella will be held over two consecutive weekends.  The first weekend will take the passengers down to the Bahamas, and the second weekend will be journeying to Jamaica.

This New York Times article has some further information about the festival.  Apparently there will be a half acre of grass because it "wouldn't be Coachella without grass" and due to the lack of curfew, passengers might just see some extra long sets from artists.   You can get further information, including pricing, at the official website.
