Fatboy Slim + Herve

I know this is about a year old but I still feel the need to share it with everyone. The visuals in this video are amazing along with the song itself. And although I didn't find this there, I highly recommend checking out The Tripatorium for some other unreal visuals. I stumbled upon it the other day and have never stopped going back. Sometimes you can even find some great music there that accompanies the absurd videos so get exploring.

Fatboy Slim vs. Herve - Machines Can Do The Work

Pressure

A little late on this one but was given this by a co-worker and was pleasantly surprised by it.  Considering it's by the man, Alesso, I should have known how awesome it would be.  Pretty sure you can't go wrong with Nadia Ali vocals either, which is why I posted an Avicii remix of another Nadia Ali song in addition to Pressure.  Both are very good big room house tunes that I'm sure you all will love.

Nadia Ali, Starkillers, & Alex Kenji - Pressure (Alesso Remix)

Nadia Ali - Rapture 2011 (Avicii New Generation Remix)

Anticipation

I've been waiting a long time for this to finally have a solid version available.  After listening to every live recording of it after he dropped it during Hard New York, I'm very happy to see that this has a radio version ready to go.  Not sure when this will be released so kind of a let down in that regard but whatever, I can make the view count of this Youtube video increase by at least 1,000 on my own if it isn't released soon.

Dayglow NYC Review Night 1

Well after a ridiculous weekend that involved both nights of Dayglow I think I have finally recovered fully today. Thursday Dayglow gave us the great electro house tunes of Porter Robinson. Dropped a lot of his classics like Say My Name and Hello but plenty of other unreleased tracks and music from other producers such as Deadmau5, Wolfgang Gartner, Madeon, Kaskade, and Dada Life, among others.
Played a track that he claims he will never, ever, release which was pretty decent but the unreleased track that stole the show for me was of his song The State. Porter has dipped into the realms of dubstep and let me be the first to say that I am very happy he did. This song absolutely killed it, although you can see in the video below that not everyone knew how to handle dubstep haha:
Porter Robinson - The State

After that, there really wasn't much more dubstep for the rest of the night. All in all, Porter tore it up all night long and I can't wait to catch him again at Electric Zoo hopefully with even more unreleased songs.
That brings us to Night 2 with Feed Me, but that review will come tomorrow. For now, take a look at some of these other videos of the better moments in the night.  Props to phazex1 for taking these videos, I should be getting a quality camera soon to take videos at concerts with :) .

Mochipet (Summer Chill Jam)

Usually I don't follow Mochipet as many of the songs I have found by him have been mash ups of like 5 pop songs that I've never really been able to enjoy all that much. This song is about the exact opposite of what I was describing before. It is quite possibly the most chill song I've heard before. Perfect for a day relaxing on the beach. Just sit back and let the groove do it's thing. Free download on it as well.

Dirtyloud + Alex Mind

I really don't think a bad song could be made if these two were involved in any way shape or form. That great Brazilian Electro House sound with the deep driving bass never ceases to catch my ear. The vocal samples in this song are really perfect as well. I pretty much love anything either Alex Mind or Dirtyloud release to be honest. Feel free to purchase this on Beatport (link on the player).

More Mord

I swear every track Mord Fustang puts out there is simply incredible.  Released a new preview on his Soundcloud on Thursday for his remix of Finally which has some great vocals backed up by those classic Mord synths.  I apologize for my absence this weekend as it was an absurd Memorial Day weekend for me as you will see with my review of Dayglow both nights.  For now, get pumped with this gem of a song from Mord Fustang. By the way, is that a hint of dubstep I hear coming through in the end of the preview? I'm thrilled that he's experimenting with it.

Promises (Skrillex Remix)

The other night Skrillex played a secret show at The Nest and dropped some tracks for the first time that have yet to be released. One of these tracks was his remix of Promises by Nero which is pretty fucking amazing to say the least. The best quality video of it cuts it short but there are other videos out there that have the full song, it's just a little harder to hear it. The first video below is a full version of what he dropped but don't even bother with actually watching it, just give it a listen for a sense of how the whole song is. The second video is high quality but a shorter version. This song will be released on July 24th.

Sub Focus

Well after the Electric Zoo announcement I had to get into the zone with Sub Focus.  One of the best drum and bass DJ's/producers out there at the moment.  In case you haven't experienced the amazingness that is drum and bass I have a couple of incredible tracks down below for all of you from Sub Focus.  It's the perfect music to go out to and if you're into running, it'll absolutely make you run ten times faster.  You won't be able to sit still listening to these so prepare yourself.

Sub Focus - Rock It

Sub Focus - Timewarp

Doorly

I know this song isn't new by any means but I have rediscovered it today and if you haven't heard it before I recommend a listen. Doorly is a very underrated DJ and this song grooves like no other. He really doesn't have a specific genre that he sticks to which might be the reason he hasn't become that big. He really makes songs in all different genres, a jack of all trades. Below is an interesting remix with a sweet saxophone line and under that is my old favorite from Doorly.

Mr. Scruff - Get A Move On (Doorly Remix)

Basement Jaxx - Raindrops (Doorly Remix)

Electric Zoo Update

Yes, more names have been released earlier today and let me start by saying that it makes it soooo worth it to buy a ticket. Notable additions to what was already a solid lineup (which now make it amazing): Sub Focus, Felguk, Bart B More, Feed Me, SebastiAn, Porter Robinson, Beardyman, 12th Planet, Dirty South, Victor Calderone, Big Gigantic, Fake Blood, Excision & Datsik, Jack Beats, Hardwell, Mark Knight, and AN21 & Max Vangeli. I don't think I need to say much more but if you want to see the lineup in its full size check here. Can't wait to see more released even though I've already purchased my ticket. Labor Day can't come soon enough.

You've Seen The Butcher

New Mustard Pimp released on Soundcloud today. No free download but it's worth it to purchase. Solid house remix with some great synths that are bound to pump you up no matter what you're doing. Not much else to say, give it a listen and judge it yourself.

Zedex (ZX)

Not many people know of ZX (now calling themselves Zedex) but I believe I discovered them randomly a few months back, can't remember how.  Solid House sound, with this new EP seeming to lean towards the French House side of things.  Can't wait to hear the full versions of these songs, especially the last one, which I assume is titled Ulysses. I've also posted my favorite from them in the past below. Enjoy.

Avicii @ Governor's Island

Well I still assume this has to do with Sensation Black and White but maybe not? Regardless, there have been some tickets released for purchase today for Avicii on Governor's Island. A little baffled as to how this isn't included with the ticket purchase for Black and White but whatever. Tickets are located here and are about $48 when you include the stupid fees. Once the full Black and White details are released along with how this show will coincide with it I'll be sure to let you all know.

UPDATE: Apparently it is a part of Black and White but the lineup is far from anything to write home about. Basic Pacha NYC lineup with Boris and such as the headliners. If that's your style then by all means go for it, not saying they're that bad but you could catch them multiple times around New York for cheaper. In my opinion, if you're going to go, go on Sunday as Avicii will tear it up but don't look forward to too much else.

2ND UPDATE: It's Sold Out, don't know what to say to anyone who didn't get a ticket.  Check Craigslist and Stubhub.

Kaskade/Avicii Mash Up

I was gonna go save this to post until tomorrow but with two names like that put together I couldn't help myself.  Kaskade releases another unreal mash up called Sorry Bom, mashing up himself with Avicii.  Free download as well thanks to Kaskade, I urge everyone to take a listen and download it for your own collections.

NY Weekly Concert Update (5/23 - 5/29)

Well let me start by saying that this weekend is going to be one of the best possible for shows in NYC. 2 nights of Dayglow, the option of Afrojack for one of those nights, and Vaski + Bare on Saturday. It really doesn't get much better than this everyone.

In case you haven't been paying attention to the NYC EDM scene at all, Dayglow is on Thursday and Friday of this week. The first night features more of an electro house feel with Porter Robinson and the second night puts the spotlight on more of a dubstep feel with Feed Me. Both nights will be unbelievable but I personally like Feed Me slightly better. As the man himself says, his music is "music that tastes like ozone and grandma's tears". Not really sure exactly what that means but let me say that every song of his is a banger.

What else is there to say about Afrojack? The show is already sold out and the last time he was in NYC he murdered it. Pretty pissed he scheduled this the Thursday of Dayglow but whatever, can't win them all.

Lastly, Vaski and Bare will be throwing a dubstep rager in Brooklyn on Saturday and it should be one hell of a show. If you haven't heard of either of them check the jump for some samples and prepare to be amazed. Vaski's remix of Sandstorm may be one of my all time favorite dubstep remixes.

I'll be attending both nights of Dayglow and hope to see everyone there. Check below for samples of Vaski and Bare, and search past posts for Afrojack, Porter Robinson, and Feed Me.

The Shows:
Thursday, May 26th - Afrojack *SOLD OUT* @ Pacha
Thursday, May 26th - Dayglow w/ Porter Robinson *SOLD OUT* @ Hammerstein Ballroom

WAEK

We all know how good Madeon is after his remixes of The Island and Raise Your Weapon but a group called WAEK has remixed one of his older songs called For You and it's spectacular. Got a funky feel to it which I guess could classify it as disco but honestly, it's just really good. Take a listen down below along with a free download courtesy of their Soundcloud.

Monday Mix - Lazy Rich

Sorry about the missing the past couple days, been a little rough but I'm back and with another person writing for the site as well which you all should get to witness in the next couple of days. Anyways, back to the music.

It is Monday as we all are aware I'm sure, so this week I have found an hour long Lazy Rich Countdown mix from April with a Mord Fustang hour long guest mix as well. Both mixes are pretty amazing to say the least and the fact that it's one after the other makes it even better. Literally every monthly mix that Lazy Rich drops is fantastic so I recommend going to his MySpace to check out the other months mixes. Enjoy.

David Jones

Not going to lie, I had never heard of him before he (or someone that promotes for him) sent us an e-mail the other day but I am glad that they did. Could potentially be having to do with the fact that he's from Milan, Italy and probably doesn't come over the pond that much. There are some great house sounds coming from all of his songs with perfect build ups and fantastic grooves. Most are on the chiller side of the House genre when compared to a lot of the electro house that I post here but it is well worth a listen as well. Trying to think of the perfect situation for it, but honestly it seems like it could fit most any time of day depending on the song.

The first song below is a chill Tech House song called Dusty that was released on his Beatport on May 13th. Great vocal samples throughout with almost a lounge-ish feel to the song that you can't not relax to.

The second is a little harder with that house anthem style to it. If I were pregaming right now it would fit the mood perfectly (speaking of which, why am I not?). Would love to hear the full track when it is released but this is a lengthy preview so it does the trick for now. And I threw in a little bonus track on the end which is phenomenal as well, enjoy.

New Dirtyloud

Dirtyloud posted a new jam called School Of Funk (VIP) on their Soundcloud this morning and it's a large dose of great electro house. The VIP version of a track they released about six months ago, this song is the perfect tune to get you moving in the morning and ready to party again. Now, if only we could get them to tour more and come to the States to give us this live...

Fytch + Ellie Goulding

I've always had my favorite Lights Remixes with the likes of Bassnectar and such but I have to add this one to the mix. Fytch just released his remix of Lights and its fucking massive. Definitely near being my favorite remix of the song I've heard to date. Pissed I didn't wake up in time for a free download off his Soundcloud but whatever, I'm putting this on repeat regardless. Take a listen below.

I Love This Song

I have heard this song multiple times within sets and mixes but never have I seen the name for it posted. Well, today marks the end of those terrible days of the unknown. I bring you Nillionaire by Alesso and man do I love this track. Its been out for a couple months now and every time I heard it I loved it but never remembered to look it up. Can't wait to blast this all weekend long, and you should too. Perfect song for a party/pregame, lets rage.

Avicii: Governor's Island/ID Update

So apparently Identity Festival bluffed when they said Avicii was playing for the NY (and Camden) date which is completely ridiculous in my opinion. Releasing a lineup with a name included and then 2 days later releasing actual posters for each date without that name disgusts me. Because of this I will no longer be planning on attending Identity Festival and spending my money at the Black & White Festival in July instead.

"What festival?" you may ask. Why the Black & White one of course, which is on Governor's Island and I assume is modeled after Sensation White and Sensation Black. The Saturday show is going to be "Black" so a little bit darker electro/house whereas Sunday, "White", will be more trance/light house. The dates are July 16th - July 17th and the video below was released earlier today. Clearly, this implies that Avicii will be playing at Sensation White on Sunday, July 17th. Details will be released at Noon on May 24th and I promise to deliver the details here as soon as they are released.

UPDATE: Details here. And it's SOLD OUT in case you were wondering.

Chill Out

Cut Copy just posted a new song on their Soundcloud a few minutes ago and it's pretty damn good to say the least.  A very relaxing electronic song that pretty much coasts along for the entire song but still changes it up enough to keep you interested.  Not the normal breed of electronic music I usually post here but electronic nonetheless.  Take a listen after a long day of work to mellow out to.

Gemini

Well if you have been keeping up with this blog, you would know how much of a man crush I have on Gemini.  Within the mix I posted a couple of days ago there were a couple new releases from the man himself and this one is a must share.  Someone got a solid rip of it so rather than having to listen through the entire Dubplate mix (if you have time though, I suggest doing so here) you can hear this unbelievable song.  The build is unreal and the bassline makes me want to kick something or someone.  MY GOD I can't wait for this to be released (in July).

From the same mix (actually the song before the above), a little harder, some unreleased KOAN Sound:

Get Down, Lay Down

Two filthy songs for all of you.  Recently I have been in more of a house/disco mood and I feel like I have been neglecting those that love filthy dubstep.  This isn't any ordinary dubstep, you better be ready to have your face melted because most of these noises are out of control.  I'll start everyone off with the "lighter" of the two only because the intro is lighter, both hit you like a freight train at the drop, so beware.  And fuck it, there's a third one down there if you really want it, hardest of the 3.

Gauntlet - Mary

Ajapai - Get Down, Lay Down

Gutcha - Lady In A Radiator (In Heaven)

Robo Booty

Not really sure how I'm going to classify this but whatever, it's a track that needs to be heard. The closest I could say this is to would be electro I guess? I'm not really sure, but it doesn't really matter what genre it is. It's called Robo Booty and it's by someone I've never really heard of called Opiuo. I forget where I picked this up from but I just rediscovered it on my computer and enjoyed it thoroughly, so now you can get that booty too.  Get it!

Opiuo - Robo Booty

Aniki

Never heard of Aniki?  Me either until a few days ago but people must learn the name.  Some fantastic disco and electro sounds that have definitely won me over.  Played the first one below (9th Hour Girl (Aniki Remix)) about 15 times today during work, instantly loved it.  The other is more of an electro feel and I must say I prefer their disco sound more than their electro but both are quite tasty.  All of their tracks are available on Beatport.

SebastiAn

So most every blog is blowing up as SebastiAn is finally releasing his EP which happens to be a 22 track EP... He already released the single "Embody" a little while back and it is complete fire. That is posted below, but be on the look out for Total EP on May 30th being released by Ed Banger Records.  And I threw in another track featuring Gaspard Auge of Justice as a little bonus, also of which is on the EP, because how can you go wrong with a touch of Justice in any track.

SebastiAn - Embody

SebastiAn ft. Gaspard Auge - Tetra

DJ Kue

Normally I don't like pop that much but I can stand it if I'm out at a bar.  Well let me just say that if these type of remixes were played more instead of the originals I could stand them a lot more.  DJ Kue definitely does not disappoint with most of any of his pop remixes and this one is no different.  I think this is about as close to posting any pop music so I'm sorry if you want me to post pop but seriously, go read another blog, I don't care about it.  For now, we can all enjoy this great remix of Britney Spears (never thought that name would make it on to this blog...).

ID Festival Lineup and Tickets

ID Festival just announced the lineups for most cities along with ticketing information.  Tickets will be available THIS FRIDAY (5/20 - 5/22) at 10AM for $40.  In my opinion this is a great deal for the talent that we will all be getting.

The NY date of 8/21 at Jones Beach Theater will be getting the DJ's below:
Main Stage - Kaskade, Avicii, Chuckie, Booka Shade, Modeselektor, Holy Ghost!
Dim Mak Stage - Steve Aoki, DJ Shadow, The Crystal Method, Jessie and the Toy Boys, Nero, Hercules and Love Affair, Le Castle Vania, The Eye, Doorly
Beatport Stage - Steve Lawler, White Shadow, LA Riots, Manufactured Superstars, Chad Hugo, Nervo, Marshall Barnes

Remember this is on a Sunday which is a bit of a pain in the ass but still, if you can make it, the appearance of Kaskade, Avicii, and Nero for $40 makes it worth it alone.  Check out their website if you want to see other dates, locations, and lineups.

Bass Island

Interested as to what this entails.  Seems like it'll be a one day festival with lots and lots of dubstep but it seems to promise much more.  It intrigues me quite a bit and the fact its being organized by Bassnectar can't be a bad thing.  One can only hope that this means there will be some crazy sideshows and effects involved compared to just a single day dubstep festival.
Tickets are already on sale but there is really no information that has been released for it other than venue, date, and Bassnectar.  If you're willing to pay about $50 to see Bassnectar on Governor's Island then you might as well purchase them now but in my opinion we should wait and see what the whole deal is.
I will keep all of you updated but thought I would put it on everyone's radar.  And why not have a Bassnectar treat below for old times sake.

Pixies - Where Is My Mind (Bassnectar Remix)

Monday Mix

Today I have a new dubstep mix from Inspector Dubplate which features quite a few new exclusive Gemini tracks on it. Haven't had time to take a listen as I just got home from work but I'm very excited to take a listen in a moment. If you don't know Gemini then learn quickly because he is yet another up and coming dubstep DJ from the UK. I have posted a sample of my favorite song by him (which is in contention for my favorite dubstep song ever) down below.  Very excited that you all get to hear it if you haven't already.

Bart B More

Well after a hellish day at work I have come home to a new Bart B More track and I can't be more excited. After a quick listen I must say this has a very unique and interesting sound to it but I definitely recommend a listen. This track won't be officially released until the end of May. Oh and in other news, Playstation Network is back up so Call of Duty will most definitely take over my night tonight as I have been fiending for it ever since PSN went down.

NY Weekly Concert Update (5/16 - 5/22)

Got quite a few quality shows to catch this weekend.  Some big names will be in town such as Steve Aoki, Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta, and Zeds Dead.
Aoki will be tough to see as he is playing at Lavo which is about as trendy as Provocateur (which I don't even list because it's so tough to get in) and it's a smaller venue.
Armin Van Buuren will put on a good show at Roseland if you are willing to shell out $75.  It'll be good but I know I wouldn't pay that much money to see him, and plus, he'll be at Electric Zoo anyways.
The same goes for Guetta but he is more affordable at Pacha, kinda sacrificing venue for price though.
Zeds Dead will be at Webster Hall with Killabits and others which will be a solid show.  Saw them at District 36 with Pendulum and was pretty impressed.  Check below the jump for some songs you can expect at each show.

Thursday, May 19th - Steve Aoki @ Lavo
Friday, May 20th - David Guetta Tickets @ Pacha
Friday, May 20th - Zeds Dead w/ Killabits, Trill Bass, Hellfire Machina Tickets @ Webster Hall
Friday, May 20th - Armin Van Buuren Tickets @ Roseland Ballroom

Nero + Sub Focus

Any collaboration between these DJ's is bound to be an absolute banger.  This won't be out for another couple months and I already can't wait. It's a radio rip off Radio 1's Big Weekend so we only get about a minute of it but its a very tasty teaser to say the least.  I can only hope that Nero will be in attendance for the New York date of Identity Festival, which will be announced on Tuesday.

UPDATE: Well that didn't last long, as soon as I can find another stream or download of it I promise (no pun intended) I'll post it for all of you.

New Madeon Remix

A radio rip from Pete Tong's Radio Show of Madeon's newest work, a remix of Deadmau5' Raise Your Weapon.  I'm officially a huge fan of Madeon.  The guy is only 16 years old and already blowing up.  I now can't wait for whatever he comes up with next.  He currently is working on an EP which I obviously would love to hear as soon as possible.  Definitely keep an eye out for any releases of his and follow his Soundcloud and Twitter (@itsmadeon) to stay up to date. Or just follow this blog as I will absolutely post anything he releases.

Yelle - Que Veux Tu (Madeon Remix) by Madeon

Yup, It's Official...

Found my favorite Island remix of all time today with the disco-ish remix by Madeon. Never really understood why people liked the Steve Angello/AN21/Max Vangeli remix so much when there were much better remixes out there. Below you can find this Madeon remix of The Island along with my old favorite. And yes, I realize this has been out for quite awhile (and actually won their remix competition) but somehow it slipped under my radar and I can't let it slip past anyone else.

Pendulum - The Island (Madeon Remix)

Pendulum - The Island (Scen Re-Fix)

Keljet Mix

Great mix for a chill day of drinking.  Keljet classifies this as Indiedisco and I can definitely hear it in the first couple tracks with the guitar injection they have.  This has some fantastic disco tracks included in it, so if that's your style I strongly suggest listening to the mix in it's entirety.  Disco fever.

Massive Selection 19 (Special!) - KELJET by keljet

Bananas and Gorillas

Not really sure why Dada Life seems so obsessed with bananas but whatever, they make fantastic music and it's a pretty funny obsession.  They just released the video for their song Fight Club is Closed and it's pretty entertaining to say the least.  I also highly suggest checking out the video for White Noise, Red Meat.

Dada Life - Fight Club is Closed

High Rankin

Stumbled on this new High Rankin remix of Jargon VA.  It's an alright song, I really posted this in order to have an excuse to post some older High Rankin stuff.  The High Rankin remix of Professor Green's Jungle is one of my favorite dubstep songs.  Pretty much too brain dead to write more about this, lost again to an open bar and no dinner, always a great combo...

Full Flux/Doctor P Louder

I know I had a post about this when UKF released their preview but I found the full version a little while ago and feel the need to share it with all of you as I am in love with Flux/Doctor P.  If you do some searching around you can find their tour dates in North America later this summer.  I have the Best Buy Theater NYC date in the upcoming concerts section to the right.

DJ Fresh - Louder (Flux Pavilion and Doctor P Remix)

Deadmau5 @ Roseland Ballroom

Deadmau5 recently announced his North American tour dates for this fall and tickets are available now. He will be in NYC on October 5th at Roseland Ballroom. Why he made this on a Wednesday I'll never know but whatever. Tickets are $50 for general admission. I imagine this will sell out quickly so get on it.

UPDATE: Wednesday has already sold out.  They have added another show on that Thursday the 6th, tickets are here.

Skrillex

Posted this the other day, have to repost because Blogger screwed up.  New Skrillex jam, only a preview for now.  In my opinion Skrillex needs to find a new sound, reusing the same power tool noises is getting a little old for me but I know people still like his music so here it is.

Netsky

This had already been posted a couple days ago but for some reason Blogger is going haywire. I couldn't edit anything for a couple days and now that I can, I find some of my posts have been deleted and are out of order. Forgive me while I repost certain things that were fucked up. Below is a nice drum and bass jam by the man, Netsky. Good as usual, really can't go wrong with Netsky.

Quick ID Festival Update

The folks over at ID Festival have officially announced that the New York show on August 21st will be held at Jones Beach Ampitheatre.  Detailed lineups by city will be announced on Tuesday, May 17th, along with ticket information.  Early Bird tickets go on sale next Friday, May 20th so be on the lookout as I anticipate this festival selling out quite quickly.

Luvstep

So I've always been a huge fan of any chill dubstep (chillstep) and both of the mixes created by Dirty South Joe & Flufftronix are probably the best I've heard of the genre.  Not sure how I feel about the weird love quotes from movies throughout but the music is premier.  Both mixes are up for free download on the Luvstep site or you can stream them. I have included Luvstep 2 down below and I highly suggest a listen or two or ten. Great for any hangover or day where you're trying to relax. So sit back, forget how shitty this hangover is right now, and enjoy the sweet sounds of Luvstep.

The only real genre distinctions based on location would be Dutch House or French House in my mind.  I would like to offer another suggestion: Brazilian Electro.  A hard hitting beat that has a nice deep electro sound, I swear you will not be able to sit still while listening to it.  Granted most electro is this way but there is something about the way the Brazilians do it that makes it so much better.  Names such as Felguk, Alex Mind, and Dirtyloud are a few of my favorites. See below the jump to witness some electro madness.

UTKU

No, that doesn't stand for anything. Utku S is by far one of my favorite unknown electro house producers. I don't think there is really any chance he will make it close to the States seeing as he's from Istanbul, Turkey, but I can always hope. So without further ado, two fantastic songs by Utku S. One even has a free download thanks to the man himself.

Avicii in the Hamptons?!

Yes, it's true, Avicii will be returning to all of us so very soon at the Neptune Beach Club in The Hamptons. He will be playing on June 11th, tickets are only $30 right now and it will be during the day, Noon - 8:00 PM. Oh, and in case you somehow haven't heard a lot of Avicii I have included a few sample tunes below. This show will be one of the best of the summer and should not be missed.

UPDATE: Looks like it sold out. Gonna have to resort to craigslist or stubhub for this one from here on out.  Supposedly there are tickets available at the door but promoters recommend getting there at 8:00 AM the day of the show in order to get yours.

Monday Mix

OK, so the dog has nothing to do with this mix but still, I was shown it by a friend and felt the need to show it to everyone else as it is incredibly well done and hysterical.

Anyways, staying with the Mustard Pimp track that I posted yesterday, they also released a mix earlier today.  It is more along the lines of what they normally put together, making it mostly electro house.  Takes a little to get going but once you get into the middle I don't think you're gonna be able to stop.

Joker Single

New Joker Single has been leaked on to Youtube and it doesn't fail to impress. In addition, I will post my favorite Joker remix which is simply incredible. Both have the typical chill Joker sound to them and both are great jams.

Joker & Jesse Ware - The Vision (Let Me Breathe)

Simian Mobile Disco - Cruel Intentions (Joker Remix)

Mord Fustang

If you haven't heard of Mord Fustang yet then you haven't truly lived. The man drops a bomb for every track. The synth sounds he uses are some of the best out there and most all of his tracks sound very uplifting. This morning he posted a sample of his newest remix which is fantastic. I've also posted some other samples of tracks that he has on his Soundcloud for your enjoyment, I encourage all of you to take a listen to all of these great electro house tracks.

Sweet, Sweet Chillstep

Sunday night, gearing up for work tomorrow. Really not looking forward to it. Might as well toss on some dreamy, chill dubstep to remedy those feelings. I really don't think there is a better time for chill dubstep than a Sunday night and this song absolutely kills it. Great remix of the classic Spor (Feed Me) song Pacifica.

NY Weekly Concert Update (5/9 - 5/15)

Friday, May 13th - Gareth Emery Tickets - @Pacha
Friday, May 13th - Plastician, Calvertron, Figure, Hellfire Machina Tickets - @Webster Hall
Saturday, May 14th - Dirty South Tickets - @Pacha

3 shows that I recommend everyone check out this weekend.  Gareth Emery would be pretty trance-y but despite me not being a huge fan of trance, I would still say it is a show worth checking out.
The Webster Hall show would be some filthy dubstep to say the least.  Might end up going simply to hear Figure drop The Werewolf as it would be the most intense song to hear, ever.  Calvertron also will drop some heavy dubstep, might not be able to hear much after this show but should be well worth it.
Dirty South never disappoints as he is a very quality electro house DJ.  He doesn't produce that many songs by himself but has a number of remixes out there that are top notch.  Check after the jump for samples of what should be played at the shows.

Mustard Pimp

Not really sure what else to say about this track other than that I thoroughly enjoy it. I'm not even really sure what to classify it as to be honest. Give it a listen regardless, it will officially be released on May 30th. I also highly suggest checking out some of Mustard Pimp's other releases as they are very underrated in my opinion.

Also, I apologize for the lack of posts this weekend, Cinco de Mayo + Calvin Harris destroyed me but I swear I will try to make it up to you all.

Gold, Guns, Girls

I've always been a fan of most Metric remixes, the female vocals get me on most occasions.  This remix by NiT GriT and Stephan Jacobs is no different.  However, as good as it is, I must admit I have another remix of this song that I like even more.  Two very different takes on the song with NiT GriT going his normal dubstep route and Betatraxx tearing it up with a great electro house remix.  I personally prefer the Betatraxx version but I will let you decide for yourself which one is better.  Also, both tracks come with free downloads as well from Soundcloud.

Calvin Harris at Pacha

Well I have to say that Calvin Harris killed it on Friday night.  Dropped most all of his classic songs such as Flashback and I'm Not Alone.  Also happened to casually drop Save the World Tonight by Swedish House Mafia which blew everyone away.  One song that I had not heard before and rather enjoyed was a mash up of Knas by Steve Angello and Coming Home by Diddy Dirty Money.  Next time Calvin is around NY (Electric Zoo) I strongly encourage everyone to check him out.

Lights

I was asked by a friend this morning which remix of Lights by Ellie Goulding I liked the best and realized I like way too many to really pick just one.  One dubstep, one drum and bass, and one hip hop remix, all listed below for your viewing pleasure.  All of these are worth knowing, but I find myself favoring one over the other depending on my mood.  I also suggest you check out the original version, but honestly, you really can't go wrong with most remixes of Ellie Goulding as her vocals hold it down like no other.

Dillon Francis Show

Dillon Francis is having his first ever show in NYC on June 4th, Saturday, at Good Units.  If you like dubstep or moombahton I urge you to be in attendance.  Should be a solid show, not sure how the venue is, never heard of it to be honest.  Below is a sample of some old school Dillon Francis and one of his newest songs Beautician.  Tickets are only $15.

Seis de Mayo

Well it's officially the worst day today as I hope everyone is as hungover and miserable as I am right now at work. As tough as it is to be listening to music on a day like today, thanks to the constant headache/stomach ache, I've risked puking and more brain damage to check out this great song. A friend sent this over to me and I'm very thankful he did. Now all of you can enjoy it to try and get pumped up for the night ahead as I don't know how I'm supposed to recover from last night and go to Calvin Harris tonight, but it's happening, eventually...

Prutataaa

Many people have been looking for a full version of this track for quite some time now after Afrojack released a preview of it awhile back.  Well, your prayers have been answered as this morning, Afrojack was kind enough to post both Selecta AND Prutata to his Soundcloud for streaming.  Selecta can be found for purchase on Beatport but I'm not so sure Prutata can yet.  Either way, check out Prutata below and earlier posts for Selecta.

New Flux + Doctor P

This was just released on UKF Dubstep and since I got home (30 minutes ago) I think I've listened to it 10 times. Flux and Doctor P haven't done a track together in about 2 years and this just destroys every other song out there right now. If you don't know by now, I have a serious man crush on everything that either of them release. Therefore, I must also suggest you check out their show at Best Buy Theater which will be debuting their first ever North American Tour in August. Just let the dubstep take you away, and then get every Flux/Doctor P song you can get your hands on.

What a Day....

Well in addition to the shit ton of work that I had today (dipped out asap), 2 major festivals released much anticipated information. The ID Festival slipped up and didn't set their site permissions correctly, therefore releasing the image with all the cities and dates (in the post below). This confirms that New York (and New Jersey) will be a stop along the festival tour, ticket information should be coming up within the next month and I will let all of you know of course.

The main course everyone was waiting for was the new Electric Zoo lineup, which is phenomenal so if you don't have a ticket I highly suggest you grab one while you can despite the price. If the image below is too unclear go HERE.
