This is probably the most intense dubstep drop out there right now. I can't even handle it sometimes even though I know what's coming. I highly suggest blasting this song to someone that has passed out in order to wake them up as they might shit themselves if you time it correctly. Enjoy the creepy intro and then prepare to be petrified. It attacks!

New Calvin Harris

If you have seen Calvin Harris recently then you have probably heard this song called Bounce with Kelis. Just got played on Radio 1 and the man himself ripped it and put it up on Youtube to share with all of us. He will be in New York in a week (5/6) and if you don't have tickets yet then first off, shame on you and second, go here for tickets (only $25). Gonna be one hell of a show as Calvin Harris never, ever disappoints.  Can't wait to dance my ass off.

Dayglow NYC Thursday (5/26) Update

The headlining DJ for Dayglow on Thursday (5/26) has just been announced to be Porter Robinson.  This presents quite the predicament as both Porter and Feed Me are phenomenal DJ's.  If you are new to the blog, there was a post not too long ago with all the Essential tunes needed to get to know Porter Robinson here.  Might have to end up going to both nights now as both will be amazing shows, hope to see everyone there.

Thought I would give everyone some more throwbacks to check out.  One is a dubstep remix the other has more of a disco/electronic feel to it but both are brilliant, honestly still can't decide which I like better, just depends on my mood.  You can find the Skream remix after the jump as well which is more of a chillstep version.

If there is one song that I would want all of you to give a listen it has to be this song here.  Meteorites (Danny Byrd Remix) cures every hangover and makes you want to party all over again.  By far my favorite song right now and quite possibly my favorite drum and bass song ever.  It's at least way up near the top of the list.  Prepare to play this over and over again as the female vocals kill it along with the fast beat.  It's a radio rip as this is still unreleased but still awesome quality.  Please enjoy over and over again, this is the jam.  And I promise as soon as I can get a copy of it I'll post it for download because everyone needs this song.

Potential Amazing Festival

Just came across this today thanks to Kaskade on Twitter.  ID Festival makes stops in 20 cities in North America and I will do absolutely anything for them to stop in NYC.  If somehow they skip over us I will be beyond pissed and potentially go on a rampage in the streets.  Just take a look at the brilliant lineup above and tell me you aren't excited.  I'll update as soon as they announce cities and ticket availability, can't wait.

At work today I started exchanging quite a bit of music with a co-worker and was reminded of a lot of some throwbacks. Throwbacks can never be a bad thing especially with the quality of these songs. A couple of Deadmau5 remixes that are pretty chill when compared to some of the stuff posted here but in my opinion are both pretty progressive house and both amazing. Disco Days

Of course it's perfect out one day and the next thing you know it's raining, getting colder, and just plain shitty out, gotta love NY. So in order to remedy this situation I give you some groovy bass line's and disco beats. Erol Alkan recently posted a preview of his Extended Rework of The Bay by Metronomy on his Soundcloud but even more recently, the full version has surfaced on Youtube and I have it here for you below. This will cheer anyone up for the weekend despite this terrible day of weather.

Almost Summer...

Catchy jam that a friend told me about at work.  I'm not very fond of songs like this as it is borderline pop in my opinion but I still enjoy it every once in awhile.  Easy on the ears and a summer song so it's definitely got that going for it this time of year.  Give it a listen to get in that summer mood.

Porter Robinson Essentials

If you haven't heard of Porter Robinson then you haven't truly heard Electro House music. Right now, he is my absolute favorite to listen to when trying to get pumped up for anything and everything (along with Wolfgang Gartner). You can literally go to his Soundcloud and listen to every song that he has posted straight through. As far as I can find, the man can do no wrong and he's only 18 years old as well.

New Benga + Rusko

Never been a huge Benga fan in all honesty but I enjoy this song which is currently unreleased. Benga dropped this on Radio 1 during his set with Skream not too long ago. Pretty chill for dubstep but still has a pretty stressed sound.

In addition, Skream and Benga dropped some unreleased Rusko as well. Honestly, it's great to hear Rusko going back to more of a heavy dubstep sound rather than some of the more pop-ish sounds he has recently been throwing out. Check it out below.

What a pleasant surprise for a Wednesday, new Sidney Samson officially released on Beatport.  I had heard the instrumental of this song, Panorama, quite awhile ago and loved it but now with Max C included on vocals I think I love it even more.  Give it a listen and of course after work I'll post a download if possible.

Livin' For Another Daaaay

Found this song the other day on a random mix floating around the internet. If you like house and progressive house you will love this song. It is a great feel good song with a similar style to the new SHM single Save the World Tonight. Haven't heard much from either DJ but this song is definitely worth a listen (or two or ten). If you have any other jams by either of them, please let me know.

EVERYONE should watch this video fully.  This was Axwell at Roseland Ballroom on Saturday.  Honestly, I can't believe I missed this and I hate myself for doing so.  Save the World Tonight into Sweet Disposition into One More Time... Feed Me's new EP called Feed Me to the Stars is being finished up by the man himself and should be available soon.  He recently posted some preview clips from this new EP on his Soundcloud.  Take a listen below, I know I am very pumped for this EP and even more excited to see him throw some of these tracks down at Dayglow on 5/27 at Hammerstein Ballroom.  I highly suggest at least checking out Strange Behaviour (dubstep-y), female vocals kill it.

Lazy Rich

Never really heard much from Lazy Rich, maybe a song here and there, but after hearing this banger I might have to start indulging a little more often. Classic electro house sound that I swear makes me work 20x faster than usual (and the day go by that much quicker as well).  Takes a minute or so to fully get into it but dear god its great after that.

Bass Cannon Video

I'm sure we all know the best/most hard hitting dubstep song out there is Bass Cannon and that it's been out for a little while now. Well today the official video got released and it's pretty entertaining to say the least. Check it out below and also look for Flux and Doctor P at Best Buy Theater in August. Gonna be one helluva show, one which I may not survive.

Always love to come home from work to some good, crazy electro.  This just got released today on Beatport and is quite fantastic if I do say so myself.  This had been dropped in an earlier set that Dirtyloud released on their Soundcloud here.

Below there also is a Bassjackers song called Mush Mush that was released today, a song many DJ's like Tiesto have been dropping quite a bit.

Work Work Work....

Well it's Monday and I find myself not wanting to get out of bed for work, what else is new... If you find yourself in the same boat I have just the thing to get you moving and on your way to getting ready.  This tune is a great mix between drum 'n' bass and dubstep.  The original is by Rusko (hence the dubstep feel) with that drum n bass twist put in it as well (thanks to Netsky).  I always love a good DnB/Dubstep song, gets the blood flowing.  Enjoy.

NY Weekly Concert Update (4/25 - 5/1)

Every Sunday I will post shows that are coming up this week (Monday - Sunday) so you don't have to go through the right side to see what's about to be on tap.  Shows are below and samples for each show are after the jump.  My recommendation would definitely be Wolfgang for some electro/electro house and to see his new set up.  Rusko would be dubstep for the most part.  A-Trak would be house and with Clipse there, there will probably be some hip hop in his set as well.

First found this song on Dada Life's April mix and have never stopped listening to it.  Great deep bass beat that is almost guaranteed to get you in a dancing mood.  Listened to this about 15 times since a couple days ago and can't keep still when listening even now.

Dayglow NYC

Dayglow New York has already sold out for Friday, May 27th.

Another day has already been announced for Thursday, May 26th (same night as Afrojack).  These tickets go on sale on Monday, April 25th.  The tickets for Friday were released at 1:30pm but no exact time has been released yet for Thursday (and knowing Dayglow they won't release one).  Check back here on Monday to see when tickets are on sale.

Here We Go...

Friends, my fellow countrymen, and of course New Yorkers, a new day is about to begin in the world of Electronic Music.  No longer do you have to filter through all of the shit on the internet to find out when your favorite artists are playing in the area, for how much, and when tickets go on sale.  I get to do that for you!
